Las Brisas Farm is managed by Lisandro Cárdenas Castro, a dedicated producer whose work reflects a deep commitment to precision agriculture and exceptional cup quality. Over the years, he has transformed the farm into a benchmark for high-altitude Gesha cultivation in Huila, combining traditional knowledge with rigorous processing standards.
His attention to selective harvesting, controlled natural fermentation, and careful drying allows Las Brisas to consistently produce coffees with remarkable clarity and distinctive aromatic depth. Lisandro's vision and craftsmanship are expressed in every lot, making his Gesha offerings some of the most expressive and highly regarded coffees in the region.
Located in southwestern Colombia, Huila lies between the Central and Eastern ranges of the Andes, with the area between them known as the Magdalena Valley. Significant differences in elevation make Huila one of the most diverse and complex coffee-producing regions in the country. Its terroir, climate, and distinct harvesting cycles all contribute to the exceptional quality of the coffee cultivated here.
Perhaps the most impressive characteristic of Huila coffees, however, is the people who produce them. Although Huila accounts for nearly 20% of Colombia's total coffee production, around 80% of its farmers cultivate less than three hectares, preserving the tradition of specialty coffee through family-based work and meticulous farming practices.
