Red Bourbon – A Distinct Variety

Red Bourbon is a highly prized Arabica variety, recognized for its sweet and complex profile with balanced acidity. At Campo Hermoso, Red Bourbon thrives thanks to meticulous care and ideal altitude and climate conditions provided by the farm. This variety is renowned for its pronounced sweetness, often showcasing red fruit and caramel notes, making it a preferred choice among coffee connoisseurs.

The Red Honey process with peach mossto is an innovative method designed to enhance the sensory attributes of coffee. After the fermentation typical of the honey process, the beans are inoculated with “mossto”—a juice extracted from crushed coffee cherries, infused with peach essence or juice. This stage introduces additional sugars and flavors, intensifying the complexity of the coffee profile.

After the integration of mossto, the beans undergo a second anaerobic fermentation for 48 hours, allowing the flavors to blend and intensify.

The result is a vibrant and sophisticated cup, featuring intense notes of ripe peach, subtle floral tones, and tropical fruit accents.
