Nicaragua is one of Central America's most recognized coffee-producing countries. Thanks to its high elevations, fertile volcanic soils, and diverse microclimates, Nicaraguan coffees are known for their balanced character, pleasant acidity, medium body, and well-defined flavor profiles.

Coffee cultivation began in the late 18th century and became one of the country's most important agricultural activities during the 19th century. Today, coffee remains a key export, with many producers investing in modern farming and processing techniques to produce high-quality specialty coffee with excellent traceability.

The country's best-known coffee-growing regions include Jinotega, Matagalpa, and Nueva Segovia, where high elevations and favorable climatic conditions allow coffee cherries to ripen slowly. This extended maturation enhances natural sweetness and contributes to a balanced, expressive cup.

This lot is processed using the washed method. After selectively harvesting only ripe cherries, the fruit is removed and the coffee is fermented to break down the remaining mucilage. The beans are then thoroughly washed with clean water and dried slowly until they reach the ideal moisture content. This processing method highlights clarity, bright acidity, and a clean finish, resulting in a balanced and approachable cup.
