“Peony,” “spirit of water,” and “silver needle” – the Chinese language has many poetic names for what may be the most precious of all teas. White tea is a delicate and refined beverage, often considered a hidden treasure of the tea world.

Essentially, skilled white tea growers select the youngest, unopened buds and leaves from the tea bushes. After being carefully hand-picked, they are left to dry naturally in the open air, with minimal additional processing. Special mats or woven baskets are used for this process. Through this brief natural drying and withering process, the tea retains its characteristic appearance, with a high number of leaf tips. The tea leaves are distinguished by their silky, silvery-white hairs. This gentle processing method preserves the pure essence of the tea, giving it a light floral taste with sweet and fruity notes, like a gentle spring breeze.

White tea is appreciated not only for its flavor but also for its remarkable benefits. Rich in antioxidants, it is considered a natural ally for health, supporting metabolism and protecting the body against oxidative stress. In Chinese culture, white tea is often associated with purity and harmony, making it a perfect beverage for moments of tranquility and reflection.
