The Story of White Tea
“Peony,” “spirit of water” and “silver needle” — the Chinese language has many poetic names for what is considered one of the most precious teas in the world.
White tea is a delicate and refined beverage, often regarded as a hidden treasure among teas.
Expert white tea growers carefully select the youngest, unopened buds and tender leaves from the tea bushes. After being hand-picked, they are left to dry naturally in the open air, with very little additional processing.
Special mats or woven baskets are traditionally used during this gentle drying and withering process. Because the leaves undergo minimal processing, they retain their characteristic appearance, including their distinctive silky, silvery-white hairs.
This gentle method preserves the tea's natural essence, resulting in a delicately floral flavor with soft sweet and fruity notes, reminiscent of a gentle spring breeze.
